In our downtime while we're closed to browsing, we've been doing some much needed sprucing up.  Admittedly, we should be doing more, but there just aren't enough hours in the day. 

The Bearded Spouse has updated our database, so doing searches are much faster than before.  I've been making all new signage for the shelves, as our paper signs were looking pretty shabby.  

I reupholstered a stool in garish colors, and I've been threatening to paint the walls to match.  Am I brave enough to make the store look like a gallon of Superman ice cream exploded?  

The basement storage is also getting an overhaul.  We've had books stacked to the rafters, and now it's out of hand.  It's hard to find anything when everything is in the way.  The best thing about the reorganization is that I'm finding all sorts of treasures that I didn't even know we had.  I guess that's a good metaphor for life.
