Join the Squirrels, Saturday October 12th, 2024 for our Armada's annual Halloween Festival... Armada-geddon!

Squirreled Away Books founder Carolyn Sweeney and a hearty band of volunteers started Armada-geddon 14 years ago to keep SAB's squirrels busy.  In the fall squirrels love eating donuts, apples and cider and well, we had to distract them with some Halloween fun!

After eleven festivals we had a brief pause (darn pandemic) but now Armada-geddon is back!   

This time there is lots of family fun including:  Street Fair vendors, the Detroit Circus' street performers and Aerial Acrobats, a Monstrosities Art Show, Haunted Town Tours, Zombie Tag, "Human" and pet costume contests, there will be  a Trunk and Treat, a Rib Fest, Stained Glass Tours, a Ping-Pong ball drop with prizes for the kids, the Armada library is having their Lego Day, the Armada Historical Society will have a 2 day event they call "Show Us What You Got" an antiques collectible show...  and if that wasn't enough the whole thing wraps up with a Lighted Halloween Parade.

Here at SAB, we are pleased to have the author Frank Anthony Polito for a book signing and maybe we'll get him to do a reading or two.  

And SAB will have a special limited edition Halloween Axolotl we'll be giving away to a luck Fest-goer.
